Each German citizen has an average of five insurances. Part of the insurances is mandatory, the rest for their own peace of mind. Compulsory insurance in Germany includes health insurance, retirement insurance, unemployment insurance, and care insurance. The rest of the policies Germans conclude voluntarily.
